Serge Godin

President

Serge Godin founded CGI in 1976, when he was only 26 years old. Under his leadership, CGI has grown into a full-service IT and business process consulting company, employing more than 90,000 people worldwide. After having led CGI since its inception, Mr. Godin is now the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Serge Godin devotes particular attention to philanthropy. In 2000, he created the Godin Family Foundation, whose mission is to reduce poverty, promote education and improve the health of children and adolescents from underprivileged backgrounds.


Jean-François Godin

Vice President - Strategy

Jean-Francois is an accomplished investor. After launching several businesses, Jean-Francois brings his expertise to Distinction Capital by identifying promising themes and finding numerous investment opportunities.


Jean royer

Vice President - Operations

Jean has been Vice President of Operations at Distinction Capital since 2015. He began his professional journey in 1981 at the ministère des Finances du Québec. He then held various senior management positions at Loto-Québec for close to 20 years.


pHILIPPE nADEAU

Director - Private Equity

Philippe joined the Distinction Capital team in October 2018 to define, implement and execute a private equity strategy. Prior to that, he spent more than six years in the Private Equity group at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, where he was instrumental in the completion of a number of initiatives, including the opening of the London office and the European expansion of the Quebec institution's activities.

Philippe holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from McGill University and a Bachelor of Law degree from Université de Montréal.


Vincent attanasio

Associate - Private Equity

Vincent has been part of the private equity team since its founding in the fall of 2018. In addition to his experience in project management, he has also completed internships in private equity at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and Palomino Capital.

Vincent holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance and a concentration in Accounting from McGill University along with a Law Certificate from Université de Montréal.


nicolas nadeau

Senior Investment Manager - Public Markets

With Distinction Capital since 2009, Nicolas is co-responsible for investments in public companies.

Nicolas began his career at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec in 1999, where he held a number of financial analyst positions over a 10-year period. The recognised rigour of his research approach led him to advise the Caisse's senior management on special mandates, contribute to global sector analysis with the economic analysis team and manage an international equity hedge fund. Nicolas holds a bachelor's degree from Université Laval.


MARC CHOQUETTE, CFA

Senior Investment Manager - Public Markets

Marc has been with Distinction Capital since 2018, where he is co-responsible for North American equity investment decisions, fundamental research and portfolio monitoring. Following a career path in mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance, Marc has held several positions that have allowed him to develop his financial analysis skills and deepen his understanding of a wide range of different business models.

Marc holds bachelor's and master's degrees in finance from HEC Montréal and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.


Jean-françois Laplante, CFA

Investment Manager - Public Markets

With close to 25 years of experience in financial analysis and investments, Jean-François joined Distinction Capital in 2022 where is is responsible for the analysis and fundamental research of publicly traded companies and portfolio monitoring. He has worked in mergers and acquisitions, as well as private and public equity investments for a major Canadian publicly traded retailer, financial institutions, institutional investors and consulting firms.

Jean-François holds a master’s degree in finance from Université Laval and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Ève Leclerc, MBA

Investment Manager - Public Markets

Ève joined Distinction Capital in 2023, where she supports the public markets team in the analysis and fundamental research of public companies and portfolio monitoring. After obtaining her bachelor's degree in communications, she worked in sales in the pharmaceutical and real estate sectors. She then moved into mergers and acquisitions consulting.

Ève holds a graduate degree in management and a Masters in Business Administration from HEC Montréal.

Simon Scheire, CFA

Financial Analyst - Public Markets

Simon joined Distinction Capital in 2024 to assist the public markets team with analysis, fundamental research and portfolio monitoring. Prior to joining Distinction, Simon held a position in a labour-sponsored investment fund as a financial analyst in the life sciences and technology sectors.

He holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with a specialization in finance from HEC Montréal. He also holds a degree in mathematics, with a major in actuarial science from Université de Montréal. Simon is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
